1. What is the best replacement hot tub cover for my specific hot tub model?

The best replacement hot tub cover is one that’s made to fit your exact spa model and climate. Let our experts help you determine what size and configuration is best for your model of hot tub.

2. How do I measure my hot tub for a custom-fit hot tub cover?

To order a custom-fit hot tub cover in Canada, you’ll need accurate measurements of your spa’s length, width, corner radius, and skirt length. Our easy measuring guide walks you through each step so you don’t have to guess. If you’re unsure, send us your hot tub make and model and our Ontario-based team will help confirm the measurements before we build your new cover. You can view our full measuring guide here: (insert link).

3. Do you offer insulated hot tub covers designed for Canadian winters?

Yes. All Imperium hot tub covers are built with high-density foam cores manufactured in Ontario and engineered specifically for harsh Canadian winters. Our insulated, tapered designs help lock in heat, reduce energy loss, and support snow load so you can enjoy your spa all year long, even in below-freezing temperatures.

4. Which hot tub cover configuration is best for harsh cold climates?

For cold Canadian climates with snow and wind, we typically recommend a 5"–3" tapered foam hot tub cover. This configuration offers an excellent balance of high thermal insulation, snow-load support, and manageable weight, making it easier to open and close while still helping to cut heating costs. If you live in an especially exposed or northern area, our team can recommend the best thickness and options for your specific spa.

5. How long do high-quality Canadian hot tub covers typically last?

A high-quality, Canadian-made hot tub cover will typically last 3–5 years, depending on your configuration, climate, and how well it’s maintained. Regular cleaning, proper water chemistry, and removing heavy snow and water build-up will help extend the life of your cover. For detailed maintenance tips, review our Cover Care Guide here: (insert link) to get the most value and lifespan from your Imperium hot tub cover.

6. What materials are used in your premium replacement spa covers?

Our premium replacement hot tub covers use high-density EPS foam cores as standard in every configuration for strong insulation. Each foam core is wrapped in 3–6 mm polyethylene (PE) vapour barrier for added water resistance and insulation, based on the build you choose. For the exterior, you can select either our 1000D Duratex polyester fabric or marine-grade vinyl, both designed for Canadian weather and long-term outdoor use.

7. Are your hot tub covers compatible with all major hot tub brands and models?

Yes. Our custom-fit hot tub covers are compatible with all major hot tub and spa brands and models sold in Canada. Please use our custom order form here (insert form link) to provide your brand, model, and measurements. Our team will review fitment and reach out for your confirmation before your cover goes into production to ensure you are content with your fit and specifications.

8. How do I choose between a standard hot tub cover vs. a custom hot tub cover?

If your hot tub dimensions are within 2" of one of our in-stock cover sizes, you can choose a ready-to-ship standard hot tub cover here: (insert stock covers link). This is a fast, cost-effective option.

If your spa size or shape falls outside that range, we recommend ordering a custom-fit hot tub cover using our custom form here: (insert custom form link). A true custom build ensures better heat retention, energy efficiency, and overall fit.

9. Do your energy-efficient hot tub covers help lower heating costs?

Yes. Our covers are specifically built to be energy-efficient hot tub covers, especially for Canadian homes. High-density tapered foam, tight-fitting skirts, and properly placed steam stoppers all help reduce heat loss and evaporation, which can lower your monthly heating costs and keep your spa at temperature with less run time. Choosing the right insulation thickness for your climate can make a noticeable difference on your utility bill.

10. How fast do your in-stock hot tub covers ship within Canada?

Our in-stock hot tub covers ship quickly from our Ontario facility. Once your order is placed, it typically leaves our warehouse within 3 business days, and transit times will depend on your location in Canada. At checkout, you’ll see estimated delivery windows based on your postal code so you know when to expect your new cover.

11. What’s the proper way to clean and maintain a hot tub cover to extend its lifespan?

The right care can significantly extend the lifespan of your hot tub cover. We recommend gently cleaning the exterior with mild soap and water, avoiding harsh chemicals, keeping your water chemistry balanced, and removing heavy snow or standing water. For step-by-step instructions and approved cleaning products, review our Cover Care Guide here: (insert link).
