Imperium 3-Year Warranty. Plain and Simple

Every Imperium spa cover is covered by a 3-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects. Our coverage is flat for the full 3 years, with no pro-rated reduction over time. If something fails because of how we built it, within 3 years of delivery, we’ll repair or replace it.

What’s Covered

  • Foam core breakdown not caused by water absorption from chemical or physical damage.
  • Vapor barrier failure (provided the cover hasn’t been physically damaged).
  • Seam failure on stitched edges.
  • Vinyl tearing, cracking, or peeling under normal Canadian outdoor conditions.
  • Hardware failure on locking straps and handles.

What’s Not Covered

  • Damage from improper chemical balance (high chlorine, low pH, etc.).
  • Damage from animals, sharp objects, or impact.
  • Damage from snow load exceeding the cover’s rated capacity.
  • Normal cosmetic wear (light fading, minor surface marks).
  • Damage from leaving the cover folded back or improperly stored for extended periods.
  • Modifications made to the cover by anyone other than Imperium.

Why We Don’t Offer a 10-Year Warranty

Many longer warranties in this category are pro-rated, meaning the percentage of coverage decreases each year (for example, 50% credit after year 2, 20% after year 5, and so on).

We took a different approach: a flat 3-year warranty that doesn’t decrease over time. If your cover fails because of how we built it within those 3 years, we make it right at no cost: repair, replace, or refund. We chose 3 years because that’s the period when manufacturing defects are most likely to surface, and most spa covers reach the end of their useful service life around year 4-6 regardless of who built them.

How to File a Claim

  1. Email support@imperiumcovers.com with your order number and a description of the issue.
  2. Include photos of the defect from multiple angles.
  3. We’ll respond within 2 business days with next steps.
  4. If approved, we’ll either repair, replace, or refund (our discretion) at no cost to you.

Transferability

This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser. Warranty coverage terminates if the cover changes ownership.
